How Membership Works
There is no online account to create. You apply through the membership application form, and the ASEEE membership office reviews every application individually. You receive a reply by email confirming eligibility and next steps, including fee and payment instructions where applicable. Once approved, you receive your membership certificate and annual renewal reminders.

Membership and Certification
Membership and certification are related but distinct. An ASEEE program certificate confirms that you have demonstrated a defined set of competencies in a specific program, delivered through an approved training center. A membership grade recognizes your overall professional standing: education, experience and responsibility taken together.
You do not need an ASEEE certificate to apply for membership, and earning a certificate does not make you a member automatically. Many professionals hold both. Certificates show what you can do in a given discipline; membership shows where you stand in the profession. Together they form a record that employers and clients can check independently.
